GOAL
Support same-day Apple product launches on Walmart.com by creating a flexible design approach that could adapt quickly to new product announcements. The challenge was to balance speed, brand fidelity, and consistency across responsive site and email experiences. This work required designing within Walmart’s established system while making room for Apple’s creative and launch priorities. The goal was to help customers move seamlessly from awareness to action across multiple launch phases.

INQUIRE
Because final product details were not available until launch day, early alignment was critical. I used pre-launch conversations with partners to understand likely scenarios, possible deliverables, and areas of uncertainty. This helped reduce ambiguity and created a clearer foundation for rapid design execution. The inquiry phase was less about final content and more about preparing for speed, change, and cross-team coordination.
RESEARCH
In the weeks leading up to launch, I stayed closely informed on Apple product rumors, announcements, and launch patterns. I also revisited previous Apple launch work to understand what structures, modules, and deliverables had proven effective in fast-turn situations. This helped identify which patterns could be prepared in advance and where flexibility would be needed. The research phase supported faster decision-making once launch-day creative became available.
DEFINE
To prepare for multiple launch scenarios, I created low-fidelity wireframes using Walmart’s existing Figma component library. These wireframes helped define the structure of the experience before final creative arrived and made it easier to align with partners ahead of time. They also served as a practical tool for clarifying how Apple content could fit within Walmart’s system and responsive patterns. This step reduced friction later by turning uncertainty into a clearer design framework
DESIGN
On launch day, I translated final Apple creative into responsive site and email assets across phases such as Coming Soon, Pre-order, and Shop Now. The design challenge was to preserve Apple’s brand experience while ensuring the work fit naturally within Walmart’s platform and visual system. I focused on clarity, consistency, and adaptability across desktop and mobile touchpoints. The result was a coordinated launch experience built to move quickly without losing structure or polish.
DEVELOPMENT
Once assets were approved, I worked with teams to prepare files for optimization, handoff, and build. I collaborated closely with developers and production partners to make sure the final experience rendered correctly and stayed true to the design intent. Because of the pace and visibility of the launches, execution quality mattered just as much as speed. This phase helped ensure that a fast-moving design process translated into a reliable customer-facing experience.
